Only two weeks remain until the opening of the European Universities Badminton and Water Polo Championships in Miskolc.

On Wednesday 28 June, the Organizing Committee, chaired by Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth, Rector of the University of Miskolc, met to mark the occasion. They reviewed the various areas of organisation and the budget, discussed outstanding issues and finalised the official programme of the two continental university competitions.

In addition to the host University of Miskolc and the MEAFC, the Miskolc Municipality was represented by Dr. Viktória Albertné Lénert, Head of Strategy and Coordination Department, Péter Juhász, Secretary General of the Hungarian University Sports Association and Miklós Gór-Nagy, Head of Sports Department of the Hungarian Water Polo Federation.

Following the meeting, a tour of the outdoor pool and service facilities of the Ellipsum Water Polo venue, the Ellipsum Adventure and Beach Baths, took place. A site visit and consultation with representatives of the badminton federation will take place at a separate time.
